Predicting the Reputation of Pharmaceutical Firms with Financing and Geographical Location Data

Reputation is a strategic asset for firms, but has been poorly studied in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly relation to their financial and stock-market performance. This work aimed predict probability of firm being included reputation index (Merco PatientView), position it occupies, according its economic–financial outcomes geographical location. Fifty firms with excellent sales 2019 rankings 2017–2019 were employed. The methodology followed was logistic regression. Their research development (R&D) expenditures dividends strongly influenced them both rankings. Non-Asian companies more likely belong two indices than Asian ones, occupy best positions Merco ranking. Although no large differences appeared indices, found that occupied variables contribute occupying these positions. Being PatientView dividends, sales, income, while appearing showed accounting aspects like value books debt ratio.
